BESTIAIRE is an independent fashion label founded in 2022 between Amsterdam
and Perugia, Italy.
BESTIAIRE approaches clothing as something that gives form to our inner
experience. Dressing becomes a quiet form of care — a way to feel at ease with
oneself, to move freely and to inhabit an identity that is always in motion.
BESTIAIRE takes its inspiration from the eponymous medieval manuscripts in which
animals were described for the symbolic and archetypal meanings attributed to them.
In the same spirit, BESTIAIRE considers clothing beyond its visible form, as a
language through which different aspects of identity can emerge, shift and take
shape.
BESTIAIRE creates gender-fluid, unisex garments where relaxed silhouettes meet
considered construction. Moving between the codes of tailoring and everyday wear,
each piece is made to be lived in, with carefully selected fabrics and a quiet attention
to detail.
BESTIAIRE develops through chapters, each one adding to an evolving wardrobe.
Rather than marking a season or a moment, they build upon one another —
complementary pieces, shapes and ideas that remain open to new combinations
over time.
